About

MIRAGE is the new international film festival in Oslo for “the art of the real”. Dedicated to artistic films with highly cinematic ambitions. A festival that celebrates the craft of filmmaking and the art of the non-fiction film.

MIRAGE is a film festival and arena for “the art of the real” where films with highly cinematic ambitions meet photography, literature and sound. It features a selection of films from the most important film festivals, including artistic documentaries, hybrid films, and retrospectives of classics from the documentary genre.

Most importantly, MIRAGE is a social festival, a place to share experiences, and a place to be surprised, fascinated, delighted and challenged by the art of cinema but also exhibitions, talks, parties and concerts. We want to evoke mind-opening conversations and facilitate meetings with the most interesting artists and filmmakers of our time. Showcasing the latest premieres and hottest cutting-edge titles from film festivals like Cannes, Berlinale, Venice, Rotterdam, Visions du Réel, CPH:DOX and many more. MIRAGE films let you travel in your head, captivate you, stimulate your curiosity and open your eyes to new perspectives.
