Taking several of the festival films as a starting point, and bringing in their expertise in feminist film history and Arabic contemporary literature and culture, they will discuss non-fiction in times of political and environmental crisis, its relation to creativity and imagination, and the freedom it often grants women writers and filmmakers to transcend social, temporal and geographical boundaries.
