SESSION 2

'Flow' by Anne Haugsgjerd

A film about finding your place, the ocean, images and art. 'Flow' explores life’s fleeting beauty through family, ageing, and existential questions. It features an independent filmmaker reflecting on their place in the world, interwoven with humour and poetry.

'A Little Surprise, In Darkness' by Anne Haugsgjerd

We have asked Anne Haugsgjerd to create a little surprise performance for us for the darkness of the cinema room. As an ode to our inner capacity to create images for ourselves, and as a training for our imagination.

'More Woman More Cry' by Anne Haugsgjerd

A poetic, provocative and emotional reflection about entering the final chapter of life. 'More Woman, More Cry' is a naked story about ageing, gravity and smoking weed.

SESSION 3

'Shotplayer' by Sam Shainberg (20 min)

A notorious NYC pickpocket returns to the subway system, the scene of his crimes, and in a fever dream of memories, is forced to dissect his relationship to the act that has ruled his life for over forty years.

'Accidents & Emergencies' by Mischa Jakupcak (2 min)

After witnessing a fatal car accident in 2004, Mischa Jakupcak experienced an acute psychotic episode. She was admitted to the Mermaid Ward, a psychiatric hospital in London. She discovered and reframed her world anew through photos she took with disposable cameras, which she smuggled into and out of the psych ward. This two-minute short story tells her story of trauma and healing through the creation of art.

'Almost 18' by Kaja Sølverød (24 min)

Karine is 17 years old and on the threshold of adulthood. All she wants is to leave her hometown and do as she pleases. Karine, her boyfriend Darie, and her best friend Tiril are dealing with old traumas, reflecting on the future, and pushing boundaries before they become adults.

'Maybe There Were Elephants' by Torill Kove (17 min)

Three rebellious teenage daughters, a restless mother, a father struggling to calculate the right amount of potatoes for dinner, and perhaps some elephants, find themselves in bustling Nairobi in the 1970s. The family will never be the same again.
