Two 16mm projectors superimposing a mix of b&w and color Images:
Bright colour fields are painted onto paper and ‘it goes without saying’ written in ink on the colours…Variations of writing on various surfaces; on rock, on paper, in negative and in revealed invisible writing . During the performance these two superimposed projections create a flow of repeating actions; creating and uncreating, writing and erasure, colour and blackness.
The piece is interspersed with readings from the poem/text.
A soundscape is created live by the performer through manipulation of cassette machines with synth, contact mics, guitar pick ups, percussive stones and bells. All performed simultaneously by the performative cinema legend Greg Pope.
